just to let any one know who doesnt already that Bill had a drama with his battery in the race. basically the battery collapsed or something inside and shorted out. this gave the effect of turning the bike off mid race. obviously he was gutted but at least he had expertise on hand to find the problem. so gutted with the dnf on what should have been a PB but lessons learned as always. he wants to compete in the TT next year and will scan the regs to see if this is possible. |

I was really sorry that you got a DNF in the Junior Bill, and I gather duty called, so you had to leave the island Saturday morning so could not do the Senior. It has been a bad three weeks for you. When Manx Radio listed the starters for the senior Saturday afternoon and they said No 27 was a non-starter I realised what had happened. So next year you are looking at the TT, playing with the big boys. BEST OF LUCK. I'll phone next weekend before you go off on your travels. |

Thanks Pea, for letting everyone know as i couldnt because of work. Anyhoo, one of the lead plates in the battery snapped and fell against another lead plate, thus shorting the battery. I was coming out of Kerrormoar (Jules's) and it was like someone turned the key off on the bike (not that it has one) But you get the idea. It did try to spit me off but i got away with it. Gutted is an understatement. Anyway i am in the process of transfering all the reports to the actual website proper. Instead of just on here. However this has proved a success as people are able to talk to me everyday with their thoughts. The only snag to it all is when things got very busy i didnt have time to update this forum like i planned. So i appologises for this. Gixer Ted please stay and read, no more boycotting us. If the truth be known you would all rather i sorted the bike and rode then sit and write stuff and not get out and ride. Thanks for all your support, i just hope next year we have a better run at the big events. Billy Boy |

Bill, Yeah, I agree, more riding less writing ! I'll never critise your web page again.....it must have hurt ? Dave (Blade) and myself went as guests to the BSB at Silverstone last weekend, what a great day. We even blagged our way and watched the race from the Pit wall. We managed to watch 1 1/2 laps before we were asked to leave.........wot a great laff though. All the best, see you next year. Carl |
