Well, the 2008 season has not been quite what i planned.

Cadwell Park 15th March :

The night of the 15th the weather turned bad, the wid was gale force it wrecked my gazebo which in turn knocked my bike over and broke my screen ( and like a plonker i had no spare ) at 5am i was trying to wrestle the gazebo etc , our tent was blowing flat ( while the kids were trying to sleep.It put me in the frame of mind that i didn't want to bother racing the next day as the weather just didn't look like it was going to clear enough to race too dangerous ?So we had packed everything away in the van by 7am and came home.

Oulton Park 26th April

On to Oulton Park again where a gear shift fault raised it head,trying to downshift into 2nd and 1st gear at speed - was perfect at Anglesey.

By the time of the clubman race the gear fault was getting too dangerous for both me and whoever may be behind me as approaching certain corners i would be in a neutral then it may drop in gear on it's own and jolt forward, so i decided enough was enough and quit while i can , race another day.I sent my engine off to have the gear fault rectified , it cost me £665 to have new gears fitted but i have just done a track day to test it and it's exactly the same so i have now got to take the thing back to the place who did the repair.

Luckily i had took my new Yamaha R6 with me on the trackday and got chance to see what that would be like as a race bike for next year ( that my plan anyway ) - If your reading this Bill it's quick so you better watch your ass next season ,it's about time i started being infront of you again, i think i have let you lead me too many times this year.Only kidding, i think it's great that we can have a laugh at the meetings.
